My grandfather was a rancher so he always dresses like a cowboy, since I can remember my grandfather always used a cowboy hat no matter what. I can only remember a few times that I saw him with out his cowboy hat (and only because he was wearing a tuxedo, or his charro suit). He kept his hats on his room on a large wooden cabinet, for me all his cowboy hats look the same only with the ring at the base of the hat and the color where different, but he explained to me that they where made of different materials, and of course there was a huge range of prices between them. It could be a hot day or cold day but my grandfather still will go out with his hat, even in rainy days he uses his hat but he protect the hat with a special plastic bag so it won’t ruin. My grandfather had a lot of hats but of course all of the hats where used depending on the activities he would do during the day, if it was a normal day when he goes to his ranch, or just to the office he used a white regular cowboy hat, but if it was a family reunion or he went out for dinner with his friends he used a different cowboy hat, same style as the regular one but in different color and material. My grandfathers hats are part of his personality, every one that thinks in my grandfather (not only the family), remember him with his cowboy outfits, but specially his hat..
