“A Matter of Expression”

A dialogue between Plain Truth and Flamboyant Verse

Plain Truth: I speak straight, no glitter, no veil. Why twist meaning when clean words prevail?

Flamboyant Verse: Ah, but clarity can be cold. Dress it in rhythm, let metaphors unfold! Why serve facts raw when they can simmer in beauty?

Plain Truth: Beauty can be misleading. All your lace and colour— fine to look at, but do they carry weight?

Flamboyant Verse: Weight isn't lost in grace. My words dance, yes, but they do not flee. A well-placed flourish can hold truth tenderly.

Plain Truth: I don’t need tenderness. Truth should land firm. Let the message speak, not the mood.

Flamboyant Verse: And I say: let the mood move the message. Let syllables sing the unsaid. I’m not avoiding truth— I’m inviting feeling.

Plain Truth: Then we agree on this— truth should be received.

Flamboyant Verse: And remembered.

Plain Truth: Perhaps your style, when not excessive, can walk beside mine.

Flamboyant Verse: And yours, when not rigid, can soften in my shade.
