Happy Birthday

little one

today you've arrived

you day has come



For nine long months

we had to wait

each day spent praying

you'd be okay



Now here you are

wrinkly and new

We weren't quite sure

that's why the blankets

are pink and blue



Our bundle of joy

try to sleep through the night

as parents we're new

we'll try to do everything right



though mistakes may be made

unconditional love is the plan

so you'll grow up to be

a good person
