‘Well that was a great evening,’ she thought to herself as she closed the door behind her and leaned on it, smiling and purring involuntarily. She stepped away from the door and spun gracefully, her almost pink scarf outstretching its arms almost as if to hug the space around it, spinning flawlessly on her high heels before plopping down on the couch to take a deep breath.
“He loves me,” she said aloud, quietly almost a whisper, “He really loves me back,” she said excitedly. She felt her whiskers curl and she rolled her shoulders as she purred, closing her eyes to see him in her minds eye. The blue tiger, her love, her match, her soul mate. He was perfect for her in every way; he was dangerous just as she was, easily fallen for, never falling themselves. Except this time, they fell for each other and they took it in stride, ready for each other, to be together for eternity. They were done playing games.
‘But what about Jade? What was her problem?’ Scarlet thought to herself, her whiskers falling back with her frown. ‘Why doesn’t she trust him?’ she pondered it only a second more before making the realization of something she’s always known and making it the purpose for this, ‘Jade never trusts anyone.’
The red feline lifted herself off the couch and flowed down the hall to her bedroom where she closed the door to look at herself in the mirror on the back. She had never seen herself so genuinely happy, and it was all because of that big cat. He had made her night, he had made her happy, he had granted her her dream. She loved him and she was fine with it. She was more than fine with it, she was finally free to admit it. She smiled at her reflection her doppelgangers hand rising to stroke the crimson ankh around her neck that Azureus had given her to present his love. It even matched her dress and she loved him all the more, now knowing why he had asked to see her dress before the business gathering. Azureus knew her better than the rest of the team, except for maybe Jade. He knew her pride in being part Egyptian and looking to the goddess Bast for insight to her life. She silently swore to herself that she would never take it off before heading to the bathroom to bathe and get into her pajamas to go to bed, only to dream of the next time she would see her man, Azureus, the blue tiger.
