An envious familiar becomes dark, diving to escape the fusillade of ice

Blessed by another passing friend, able to dodge a shard, just glinting off wingtip

Swift winds under feathers aiding escape to navigate over the Great River

Envy dissipates, the storm quiets

Soft raindrops plop on the ashen ground

Fresh ashes from a quondom fire

The heavens make peace
