i hold back my true me
false images the populus sees
noone will understand me
i think my reflection agrees
for he be me, my only comrade
stuck with me through the problems weve had
yet, i reject this copied image painted upon this mirror
for everyone else has decided to stay clear or
just ignore my existence, even the ones thought to be dearest
how can u feel loved when u are shunned by ur parents
the same parents who tossed me into the masses
im just an infant snake tossed into tall grasses
tryin to survive in this cold blooded world
find comfort in the drink, the pot, an the occasional girl
just tryin to find MY meaning of life
wanna fly away but im tied down like a kite
need to cut the string float off into the night
float until the rays of sun gleam
and drift into the fabric of spaces seams
look towards the stars and chase my dreams
