Songs In The Shower

As he stood in his confined space

He was deafened by the water that cascaded his face

He wouldn't let his serenade fall on deaf ears

He sang it loud so that his love would hear

What he lacked in skill he also lacked in shame

He replaced the lyrics with his lover's name

The shower echoed with her annoyed shouts

He'd just reply "this is what love's about!"

Then came the knocking at the door

He just tuned it out and serenaded more

But when the knocking didn't stop

He dried himself off and let the towel drop

He swung the door open with a gung ho force

The sight before him filled him with remorse

It was the most embarrassing experience he'd ever had

As he stood butt naked in front of his lover's dad.
