"Forgive me Father"

waves crumble

into the beach beneath

my feet were i wade

the waters of my sin

washing away the devilish

ways before they begin

mixing with the sand of life

fixing my mistakes all over again

white clouds crowd the sky

above my sun blistered skin

soothing the pains before me

with a perfect wind

every lie and untold truth

that i live to pretend

presents themselves

for my father above the clouds to forgive

with eyes closed and whispers silent

time freezes

and i live this moment

i bow my head and splash the oceans salty goodness

across my face and speak to him

and he forgives me over and over again

bathed in the blood of his holy son

i cry a tear

fall to my knees

soaked in fear

wet with thankfulness

for this moment i'm in his likeness

for this moment i'm sin less

for this moment i'm dripping with forgiveness
