I'm done

being who you are

what you want me to be

I'm done clinging to what you were

your expectations aren't

living up to me



I'm done

with being you

as far as i can see

i'm done

growing up in your shadow

walking your footsteps

with your strings tied to my limbs

a puppet with out his own friends



i'm done

with all my so called achievements

i'm done

holding your hand

dreaming about your future

and living in your land



i'm done

trying and going nowhere

being somebody the resembles you

i'm done

with you and all your assumptions

your radical thoughts

me seeming to be somethin

only to find you judging

hoping i become nothin



i'm done

ready to be my own person
