calling long distance

my heart has no service charge

but i get no dial tone

just static resistance

call my 1-800 number

its all ways free

i'm always up late, fall till summer

just don't forget me

each missed call i feel dimmer



dialing touch tone

i ring for you to hear me

but i'm stuck in a black out

with this useless phone

your out of reach



pound and star

i feel left behind

punching buttons till i bleed

with all this wearing down

i'm worn out, can't read

the numbers i last touched

i'm all numb

i'm similar to a leach

attached something out of reach



i keep getting that voice

if you like to make a call

but its you

not a recording at all

just come out and say it

this phone bill

you won't have to pay it

stop beating around the bush

just answer, don't disconnect

i don't mean to push
