Seven days and all I've seen is locked gates
and little wisps of cloud stretched out
over cold wet stone.
The rain never seems to come
and the monkey grass is overgrown,
overfed and the cars are all locked
and dull in nature and their
windows are rolled up tight.
The parking tickets build up and pile themselves
high and holy throughout the landscape
of Detroit St. and Delongpre Ave.
