In the still hours of morning, take a moment to stare
At the far-off horizon and you may see her there.
From a vast distance, she flies determinedly to your side
For never with another can her loving heart abide.
Across emerald oceans of glittering green,
Over mountains of majesty unlike ever seen,
Passing waving plains of golden gilt wheat,
Thru cyclones and thunderstorms, she will know no defeat
For she knows, without you, she will never be whole.
A life without love becomes an unbearable role.
She’ll search the world over until the day that you meet.
Until then, while apart, she remains incomplete.
She’ll scour the ends of this earth till she feels
The realization of a love, a dream, oh, so real.
Then, and only then, can this raven’s heart rest
And surrender her life to her lover’s bequest.
Never again, will raven wings, black as night,
Embark on the quest of a raven’s love flight
For the treasure she sought as she soared high above
Will be cherished in you with all a raven’s love.
