I know some important event is coming up, but I don’t have to look at the calendar, neither my facebook account, oh no, I know it because the TV room at my grandmother’s house is open and ready to be used up. That room is not that big as some one could imagine for taking a whole family there, better rooms are at that house, but this room history has. You don’t need to be very smart to know where to look for the special details it have, just at your left where the photos of her sons are in rest. Next to it an old TV that it can’t even be turned on to watch a TV show. As you are leaving the room, you have to take a better look, because if you think you have watched all, you are so wrong, because you missed the spot where every single Christmas the tree is set up. But really is not that special at last, but good memories are the ones I had. I don’t know if it is the smell it has, the fact that is at the end of the hall, but every time I cross near it, memories of a young child come to my mind and I realize it is just me having some good times. My grandma doesn’t find so special that room as I, she says is just the smallest room at the house, she doesn’t understand how I react when Christmas is over and now is nap time. But yes the rest of the year is closed, no one enter, just that lucky cleaning lady doing her job, cleaning the photos, those really old couches, and mopping the room. But why it is just opened when there is an important event? I can’t really answer that, neither my grandmother or uncles, but my father yes, at least that is what I think, because is the only one that have an answer for me; and it is that is the only small room in the house that can have all the family very close to each other. And now I understand all, why the rest of the year the family is not close, but at that exact moment were are just like one. Yet, I can’t find another room as awesome as that one, another one that can wake up my memories from the childhood as this one does. But for my bad luck, too many days make far for me to enter by the that door, where at the left the photos at are rest.
