Love

Love is a lie.

It's not worth the tears I cry.

You taught me well,

Angel, my beloved who would sell

me lies with smiles.

Yet, I still love you,

love that's strong and true.

You shattered me, the porcelain doll

after so long of keeping me in thrall.

Love is a bunch of sweet lies.

THe truth was in your shallow eyes,

but I didn't see it there.

I had thought that you'd always care.

Now I'm stuck in a web of tears.

Now you've confirmed my fears

that love is a lie,

not worth the tears I cry.

Let me go, please.
