Only Human

I’m only human

But I can be more.

I’m only human

But I’ve owned other humans.

I’m only human

But I’ve killed some that were also,

And I’m not sure if that made me stronger or weaker.

I’m only human

But I go to church to pretend to be more.

I’m only human

Made of flesh and blood

And that is good.

But I have this blood on my fleshy hands.

That might mean I answer to no one

Or that I will answer to someone.

I’m only human

But I don’t know what that is.
