pretend it was different

The Nihilist

Who had to tell his story.

The atheist

Still looking for something to worship.

The god-fearing man

Who figures he has good reason.

In this world of crowns

But no kingdoms.

A dead god,

And houses, which preach of him.

Fatherless children,

And grown boys

Who sleep with older men,

Just to pretend it was different.
