I Don't Have High Hopes For The New Year
As I sit in my house, I feel despair and even fear.
I'm afraid that for me it won't be a good New Year.
The election didn't turn out the way I had hoped.
And because of the results of the election, it's difficult for me to cope.
I want it to be a good New Year but I'm worried that it will not.
High hopes for the New Year isn't something that I've got.
But I do hope that people will be good to others.
Because The Lord wants us to love one another.
