Veterans of the USA
This is a special day because it's Veterans Day.
We celebrate because certain people fought for the USA.
Veterans put their lives on the line so that we can be free.
Veterans are important to you and they're important to me.
It's heart breaking to know that some Veterans are homeless.
They are heroes who we should ask God to bless.
Veteran Hospitals
as well as veterans got a big appropriation in the 2017 budget. Long over due. Care is important to getting vets back to mental health - unfortunately, those dollars were designated for wives and children of currently serving vets. It will take time to sort out the system - a few of the Pentagon's increase would be helpful for those who have served and are back.

Note: We are free from attack since September 11. Homeland is financed pretty well even if the vets are not. They continue to sacrifice for the nation, even if the nation is deploying them in parts of the world that are not a security risk to usa. Hmmmm... Instead we buy spiffy new jets and defense systems that we sell ultimately to the Saudi's our allies. Free to make money on the tax payer's dime. It would require a dedicted tax. Specifically designated as the "Those Vets who have served and their families tax." My brother served in Nam, his wife is a survivor and unable to afford false teeth. That needs fixing too.
