How can this be?
How can so many suddenly
Without warning
Without a trace
Cease to be
Disappear into nothing
Is it a goverment plot?
Terrorism?
Or something far more sinster?
Something alien?
Are they alive?
Are they dead?
Prisoners
Or are they only awaiting
To make official
Their graveyard markers
So much it seems
The media is not saying
Is there much more here
The public should be knowing
Cover-up rumors here linger
Will we cheer their return?
Or mourn their unnesscary loss?
Was there not more that could have been done?
Could this mystery not have been avoided?
Can we live
Maybe never knowing
Where loved ones went to
Up among those clouds of secrets
When all is said and done
Who will eat the blame?
Who of the 12 could be the monster?
To set in motion
These foul and cruel events
Or is the answer
Not in the clouds
But higher up
In the stars
Where maybe just maybe
An unearthly presence
Took these greatest of pains
To make it known....
