Years Long War
You and I may have to accept a bitter new reality
Entered into a war we did't expect
And now as it all grows worse
Ruthless leaders overseas not giving an inch
So much damage and chaos
Long and weary I fear for some time it may drag on
Over and over told lies to comfort us in the dark days ahead
No one bold or willing enough to step forward and tell the truth
God help us all!
What will come and what will be?
A much darker future or last a calming peace?
Redemption for a nation or dragged down all into the most fiery pits of Hell?
Only time will reveal....
