Grieve

A faded shadow,
An empty bliss,
How could such love,
Crumble to this.
In silent screams,
The heart grows deaf,
Such numbing injections,
Yet none interject.
The walls seem to swell,
The ceiling now sags,
The water inches higher,
But I am plum out of rags.
There is nothing left,
To clean up this mess,
You reach out in vain
And deserve no less.
Into the shadows now,
I have taken my leave,
Perhaps you will move on,
But I hope that you grieve.
