To Breathe Again

Folder:
Older

A bud that withers in the night,

Pure loneliness that builds inside,

Like sadness in a child's eyes,

For nothing ever turns out right.

Tears fall down like pouring rain,

A feeling that it's all in vain,

This anger inside you cannot tame,

With screams that drive the strong insane.

Then all at once a simple cry,

The faintest urge to run and hide,

To throw myself out to the tide,

To just lay down and let me die.

A voice to soothe an angel's heart,

Someone who knew I'd play a part,

A breath that tasted warm and tart,

To finally grasp a brand new start.

As the sun broke through the trees,

It brought me to my selfish knees,

Like daisies blooming in a dream,

And once again I could breath.
