Upon a whim, you took me
under your wing to fly
perhaps then you mistook me
for somebody willing to try
for these wings are folded
and my mind is not set free
for, as a child scolded
you'll see the back of me
as I turn to walk another path
to destruction and dismay
I have anger like my mother hath
and from her words I say
"You're too small to walk, girl
you're too young to try
and although you deserve the whole world
you'll never learn to fly."
