don't wait up for me

I'll walk the streets

let you forget me

There ain't nothing

that will take the hurt away

just another 'I'm sorry'

Yet another pity play

You're better off

without me by your side

you lose your pain

and regain your pride

they'll all smile

the hero you are will shine

and they'll forget

everything of mine

I don't mind

it's the way it was meant to be

I'd give it up

if it meant you lived happily

So don't wait up
