The curtains were drawn,
Just a ray of sun,
Shone on in,
At everyone,
A blinding light,
That caused a tear,
Another life,
To live in fear,
And still I slept,
While they awoke,
I did slumber,
And they did hope,
That morning would pass,
And darkness come,
When the light shone in,
At everyone,
Their cries were loud,
But my slumber deep,
I did not hear,
I merely did sleep,
And then my eyes,
Opened and saw,
An empty room,
A room of awe,
The demons had gone,
Yet I was there,
Another victim,
Of the nightly scare.
