This is the year that I make my own

My choices made, my spirit has grown

Taken to the skies in a happy little dance

I'll make my destiny, not leave it up to chance

Starting the year as we mean to go on

With a smile, a tear and a beautiful song

A time of reflection on the year that has passed

Memories and dreams that will forever last

And feelings so strong that I'll feel evermore

I'll be a whole new person, of that I am sure

For I'm looking to improve day by each day

And cherishing every moment each and every way

So I begin this year in spirits and with joy and jest

I know that this year will be better, this year will be best.
