Do I search for something that isn’t there?
Rhetorical.
Wake up each day,
can’t be awake.
Surely this world is a better place
by now?
Rhetorical.
Waiting all those years in sleep.
Eighteen years from womb to here,
and nothings changed.
Have I lived too long?
Rhetorical.
This life seems short,
nothing done.
These sands they flow,
the time flies by.
Still I sit here
and watch the waves.
Will it all end?
Rhetorical.
I will end,
one day.
I wait for that day.
These waves grow fierce,
try to drown me,
but still I live.
I still watch.
Nothing more to do.
No one has made a difference.
Can I?
Rhetorical?
