Deadly

Can't you see you've destined me to fail?

Helped the darkness in my soul to prevail?

You helped the flame to grow, the fires to ignite,

It was you who caused the chaos, you began the fight,

Each day passes, struggling not to cut these wrists of mine,

You continue to taunt me, to devour my mind.

Don't you know that I need your praise?

Those 'worthless' words that you've never said?

You peirced the needle of hate in my arm,

It was you who caused the heartache, you made my harm,

I see the noose, I tightened the cord,

That is the fate of talent ignored.

Won't you realise you've cast me away?

Drowning me in thoughts of words you'd never say?

You touched the wounds, making them split,

It was you who took me by the hand, then tossed me in this pit,

The knife will soon fall, and you'll be too late,

Clashing of metals and merging of hate.

When will you listen, when will you care?

Ever notice me, though I've always been there?

You were the one slipping pills in my drink,

It was you who helped me die, you let me sink,

I stand on this bridge, just waiting to fall,

Between this word and the next, hoping you will call.

How can I survive if I'm invisible to you?

This passion slowly fades, will I still get through?

You put that rage within me and teased it with time,

It was you who never realised that talent which was mine,

And now that I am dying, will you save me from my death?

I'll slip out of your way now, let the angels do the rest.
