You’ve been walking that road alone,

I’ve watched you as you go,

You’ve slung your sack over your shoulder,

I’ve watched you stumble so,



You’ve been travelling for too long now,

I’ve watched you on your way,

You’ve turned your back on all you had,

I’ve watched you night and day,



You’ve made your route and followed it,

I’ve watched you plot your demise,

You’ve created this mist of mystery,

I’ve watched you make your disguise,



You’ve journeyed too far to turn back,

I’ve watched you look back in sorrow,

You’ve stopped now, waiting for me,

I’ve watched you, and I’ll be there tomorrow.
