Promise me Heaven.

Love Life

In a land of broken promises, endless dreams that drift,

A place of human rememberance, set upon by an angels kiss,

It seems as though this emptiness has spead too far throughout,

And though we seek that solitude, there is no way out,

Can you promise me heaven where roses bloom and petals scatter on the wind?

Will you give in to the silence and allow love to begin?

Set a ring upon my finger and promise me an embrace?

Because right now life just seems one long endless chase.

I can't keep running through the towns seeing the peoples faces,

It brings too much sorrow to see their eyes, knowing of lifes paces,

Twists and turns of petty fate that tear us all in two,

I found some sort of release when I stumbled over you,

Can you promise me heaven where happiness thrives upon an endless cloud?

Would you shout it from the mountain tops, clear and ringing loud?

Put your arms around me and kiss me on my lips?

You set sail this love in me, you sent forth the ships.

It just seems that this life is empty without you by my side,

I cannot lie and cage my heart, my passion will not hide,

And though these dreams are born of childhood whishes and dreams,

I know now that I could have what I want and understand what it all means.

Can you promise me heaven's fair embrace among the swans and doves?

Will you allow me a seat upon the moon, looking down from high above?

Can you set my wings from on my back and allow me to be free?

Because if you promise me heaven and give it, you are the one for me.
