but I don't remember

I remember being happy without you

in someone else's arms

and I know I should recall yours

after all you are my greatest friend

my partner

and sworn enemy

We were happy once I know

and I wish I could remember

who did we used to be?

You're always sorry

and so am I

and maybe it will all work out

and we'll be happy in the end

but I don't live for maybes

I live for today
