seemed destined to remain
distant, in vain

at times
reality reeling me in
hooked on your line
my common sense also
seemed hard to find
confusion & conflict
plagued my mind
time is helping my scars
to heal
& promises of your love
once again allowing me
to feel
evident are my fears
loud are my tears
this time my heart hopes
we are here to stay
& never again to walk away
my heart is vulnerable
I believe everything you say
