I tend to neglect you

on the regular

I constantly abuse you

using words to twist

and turn

my feelings

to manipulate the

outcome in my favor

you still stand by my side



even when I am snarred

in an aphasic state and

say things I know are wrong

sometimes out of frustration

I bruise you over and over until

parts of my hands turn blue



I often leave you for days

at a time with nothing to

say offering no excuse for

my actions



though you endure all of

my abuse and frustrations

our love is sustained

and mine for you grows

even stronger

you allow me to come back

again and again

you take it from me

again and again

for this I am in love with you

for your commitment to me

I will forever continue to

manipulate and create

new ways to present you

to the world
