Untitled (For Now)

A snow seeps black

Infinite flakes ignite amber red

Turning curving swurving

Drift to white

Fast

An all or nothing blur

Too too fast of a drive

Take a gander with

permanent hold on sight

Guts drop, walls tower

A head flops, my own

Sending me down down down down

Internally nowhere to go

Stone worms never crawfish

in a clocks work

In other words,

My scars don't retreat

Not ever, not today

Unwanted attention seeks

to rest coiled in skin

A home for "Tiny Tim" and "Jim"

Not to be rude

People keep quiet

Their silence louder than words

Making me feel nude

How ironic...

Although it doesn't matter

Shouldn't matter

They don't need to know the truth

What does, should matter

is what fits secure around my wrist

Below tower walls

Below the stone worms

Below seeping black snow

A bracelet  given; a purpose served

Six stars inbetween the black and white

Low underground

A simple steady lay

Their names:

Acceptance

Forgiveness

Hope

Courage

Love

And Faith

They all say

"Never never never quit."

Words I hold close to heart

So I promise you this,

"I'll never never never forget

 and I won't quit."

Author's Notes/Comments:

The message might be hard to find in this poem so I will tell you because it's important. But I would like people to have their own personal view and feelings as well. So for me, it's about having self-harming scars and the uncomfortable feelings that come along with them but you still get the courage to wear t-shirts and shorts in public with people staring at you like you're a zoo animal (They might as well take a picture so it'll last longer). It's about pushing yourself even though people tell you that you aren't capable of doing something. It's about those special people who help you through your struggles and love you unconditionally. It's about never giving up on yourself or your dreams.
