Have you ever gone deeper-

deep enough

that all those whispers

in your mind

deafened you?



Have you burned out

tragedies and failure

for the sake of

something stronger?



Have you sat and wondered,

searching

for something

immutable, stable,

and boring?



Is life really made

of compromises,

and existence itself

a tug-of-war

in darkness and light?



Shadows waver, but

the dark overpowers.

The eyes don't have it,

and neither do I.
