Are we as shallow as we appear to be

To the upper crust of society?



Are we too naive that we can't breach

the walls that raise higher than our reach?



How dare we dream of mindless things

that only wealth and riches bring.



Reality awakens me from my pleasures,

to food, clothing and a roof, my only treasures.



I give thanks to those who grace my presence,

bringing love and compassion of their true essence.



So, to the upper most crust of society,

my dreams, thoughts and fantacies

are a few of the things I refuse to

relinquish to thee.
