Hawksquaw's Dream
"Who Are You Again"
A Brief Hello,
An Artists Touch.
A Poem In The Sand,
Tributes penned for
all her friends
entered here in
PostPoems land.
All walks of life
becomes familiar.
Animate/Inamimate,
dead/alive,
proper or sleezy
She has the alphabet
covered from A-Z.
Words, at times,may
have been Blown Away.
Hang On to Her World
because she is
Here To Stay.
I'm A Bitch, she says.
Make No Mistake
she is not Outside
Looking in.
She Walks, Suspended
In Time. (The Wee Hours
In The Halls Of PostPoems)
There she compliments
and guides those who
submit to the Poetry
Business.
Words from her heart.
Words from her soul.
Words reaching to the
extreme.
These are the well
penned words of
Hawksquaw's Dream.
Written with Love,
kindness and truth.
(2bits please:)

Having met Hawksquawk on this site, I had to read this. You captured her perfectly. I'm sure she doesn't mind your treading her boundaries.
How did I miss this beautiful piece dedicated to my friend by a friend? Wonderful, Linda!!
Great poem for a dedicated lady. She does have a good word for everyone! I also love her passion, it is earthy and delightful. Thanks for sharing a bit of your heart!
you know each time of you my fellow poets uses their talent to pen something down for or about me.... it truly takes my breath..... I live with me and sometimes don't think that I am all that.... and then one of you feels inspired by something I have said or written and it just completely blows me out of the water.... what can one say to read words as wonderful as these.... you have paid me such an awesome compliment I just hope that I do live up to this .... there are people here and on other poetry sites that complain that there work never gets read.... and when they are honest and say that they don't read others work then I have to think well then why do you think someone would read your work.... it is only through the comments left about my work that I start to understand the ramifacations of words left for a poet..... when I first came here I had been posting my work on various other sites... and they were horrible.... just as some of the comments I received when I first came here.... people would leave nasty comments..... they said only horrible and hurtful things.... at one time I started to think that maybe they were right and maybe I did not have the right to write something then post it for the world to read... then I came here to Post Poems..... very scared and afraid of the type of words I would read here... the first person to read my work was Melvin Lee.... if not for his kind advice and help words I might have not stayed.... he welcomed me and offered help when and where he could... he did this is a very friendly manner and with love and sincere guidence... never saying things like I had heard before.... you should never pick up a pen.... you should be ashamsed that you call what you write poetry..... instead if he saw something that needed a change he would send me a personal email and help me out.... he never said anything hutful to me.... I owe him so much.... he is still a great friend to me.... and I hope that I return just part of what he gave to me.... he showed me that there were people out in the world that knew what it means to hear something nice about your work..... there will be poems that I read that I don't really care for.... instead of killing someones ability to write by saying something mean and nasty I just move on to another piece from the same person... trying to not let the first thing I read be what I judge them on.... so for those that say I inspire them....... well you are the inspiration for me...... there are so many wonderfully talented poets here...... I do at times feel ashamed that I post my work with such talent..... then someone writes something like this... and it truly makes my day.... thank you Linda from the center of my heart..... you are the greatest... Hawksquaw
Linda, I LOVE THIS! Such a great weaving of your poetic style with Renee's by using the titles of some of her poems. Renee was one of the first people to welcome me to Post Poems a year ago, and she continues to be an inspiration and source of guidance for me. Not to mention she's just a great friend and poet! This is a much deserved tribute laid down perfectly!
