On Valentines Day, we all think of love



A day in which no anger can enter



You smile because you are loved



And Kiss the one you love



You struggle to make the day



Everything it is worth



You go to get chocolates



And all manner of roses



All in the effort to make your loved one smile



Valentines Day is a special day



That means many things to many people



Some people look on the day with joy



Others with sorrow



Some will smile, while others frown



But in the end, we all want love



I’ve thought many nights



For what Valentines Day means to me



Is it a day when I celebrate our love?



Or a day when we remember it



Maybe it’s a day when I buy you a rose



A chocolate candy



And just hope it makes you smile



My Love, I have to tell you something



Valentines Day to me is the first day



In our relationship, before we were anything



You were my valentine.



Before I was able to feel your warm embrace



When your kiss was but a distant fantasy



When being able to just stare into your eyes



Was something I yearned for more than anything else.



Valentine’s Day is our special day



Where we can remember



That before we were anything



Before we ever met or looked into each others eyes



On this day, we found a way



Despite everything else



To belong to each other



On Valentine’s Day, you were more than just a girl



You were more than someone I loved



For the first time, you belonged to me
