that day

that day was the saddest day of her life. it was the day she gave up her mother and her previous thirteen years. after two years of longing to be free of her retarded mother she was. she did not want it when it came. she wished it had never come. she cried because of her broke heart. she kept asking "why me?"

that day she lost more than her mother she lost part of herself. she lost her mother and never knew her father. now that her mother is gone who will she turn to, where will she go.

she writes but there are more feelings then she can put on paper. she is lost.

her fosterparents gave her a real amythyst and diamond ring with a real gold bandthat she now wears on her hand.

that day she carried an angel around. she could have gone bowling but she chose not to. the angel she got from her mother the christmas of 2002.

she is a sophmore with a broken heart. none of the students at her school understand why she is so sad. without knowing who she is, the students will understand her, for it is she who writes this poem, you read here now.
