I observe her dancing in the park
Until my world's extremely dark
Then I must return to my reality
I am a counterfeit patriarch
Who can't even leave a beauty mark
Forever facing my own mortality
Graceful yet skittish like a gazelle
She's so carefree she wants to rebel
Oh and nothing can hold this girl down either
When I watch the pea under the shell
I'm no longer me, this mademoiselle
Makes me quickly pick because I'm so eager!
It is so predictable it seems
Yet I only choose right in my dreams
So I continue this fruitless endeavor
Watching closely how her dance redeems
She represents it to the extreme
My very soul's escape into forever
