She doesn't seem to have a soul
And because commitment scares her

Other than tomorrow,
Which quickly becomes today
When I set my sights much further,
It pushes her away
I held her to my chest at night,
Her feet wrapped 'round my toes
I whispered "you're my soul mate"
And she crinkled up her nose
Sure there's magic in the moment
But it's only I that care
Expectations for romantic love's
A dream we both should share
My love takes flight forever;
Though in her heart we're bound
Confined, finite and flightless,
Foundered below ground
The only constant in her life
Is change, she has been sure
While the only constant in my life
Is my love for her
