Wishing We Had More

June 2004 Poetry I'm wishing on these stars above,
wishing far and wide.
Sending these thoughts out and away,
into the oceans tide.

Wishing we had more strength,
to get us through each day,
not to listen to others,
and the stupid things they say.
~
Wishing we had more time,
to spend with one another.
So we could finally meet,
and just hold each other.
~
Wishing we had patience,
to wait for what's to come.
Knowing if we wait enough,
we'll know we've found "the one."
~
Wishing we had each other,
wishing there was some way.
But I'll just have to keep wishing,
tomorrow's another day.
