Burning Desire

Burning desire

temptations all around.

The flames of hell,

shoot up from the ground.

My feet begin to burn,

as Satan laughs below,

thinking to himself,

"she'll sin, just you wait and see."

Burning desire.

I run.

Trying to escape this hell.

Not realizing I'm running from God,

by not believing,

He'll keep me safe.

So I stop,

stop running,

feeling my feet get hotter.

And I pray,

pray for forgiveness.

And with the blood of Jesus,

coating my feet,

I walk away from the flames,

now merely smoke,

and straight into salvation.
