Sing, Sing, Sing (Song)

Folder:
May 2003 Poetry

Verse 1:

Look what you’ve done with your melody.

The words took over and lifted me.

My heart had no choice.

I fell in love with your voice.

Chorus:

And you sing, sing, sing.

Swept me off my feet.

Sing, sing, sing,

make my heart skip a beat.

Verse 2:

Such beautiful words came from your heart,

but I knew it was doomed right from the start.

You would only make me cry,

and in the end I’d say goodbye.

Chorus:

And you’d sing, sing, sing,

expressing your apology.

Sing, sing, sing,

cause you’re nothing without me.

Bridge:

What will you do when I’m gone?

What will you do with your song?

You’re living a lie, that you can’t deny,

and when you lift your voice to rejoice.

Chorus

You’ll sing, sing, sing,

get your words right on track.

Sing, sing, sing,

but you’ll never get me back.

And you’ll sing, sing, sing,

get those words right on track.

Sing, sing, sing,

but the echo answers back.

A melody you’ll sing,

and that melody will ring.

Over the hills,

over the sea.

But I’m sorry baby,

It won’t reach me.

No, no, no, no, no,

no, no, no, no, no,

yeah, yeah, yeah.

Sing, sing, sing.
