I wish you were here.

I wish I was there.

I wish we were together,

it could be anywhere.

I wish you were happy,

at home where you are.

I wish I could help you,

but the distance is too far.

~

I wish that the miles,

could be cut short.

I wish I was in your arms,

in sweet, blissful comfort.

I wish that we could be,

only a phone call away.

I wish that I could see you tomorrow,

maybe sooner, even today.

~

I wish that we could share,

just one moment together.

But if it means I have to wait,

then I could wait as long as forever.

~

If that’s what it takes,

then that’s what I’ll do.

Cause I know in my heart,

I did it just for you.

I wish I could pull the stars,

down from the sky.

I wish the whole world could know,

that you are really mine.

I wish that I could give you,

more than just my heart.

I can’t hug you, nor kiss you,

because we’re far apart.

I wish that I could kiss you,

and feel your body near.

I wish I felt your gentle hand,

whenever I shed a tear.

I wish that I could hold you,

baby just for a day.

These things and more I dream of,

wish, hope and pray.

I’ll keep on wishing baby,

for these wishes to come true.

Sit and await the very day,

that my eyes lay sight on you.
