An Angel Who Just Got His Wings

Folder:
May 2002 Poetry

Golden gossamer wings,

shimmering,

like exotic beach sand,

in golden sun rays.

Halo overhead,

glistening brightly,

in the eyes of God.

Such a sweet face he has,

smile stretched,

from ear to ear.

Velvet skin,

touching my heart,

ever so softly,

without physically being near me.

He’s an Angel,

my Angel,

and he just got his wings.

Fly to me my Angel.

For I’ll be waiting for you,

to save me…

… once more.
