How These Tears Touched The Ground

Folder:
Improv 2001

Sitting here in your arms,

the warmth of your love engulfs me.

Running your fingers through my hair,

and gently caressing my back.

I wish this moment,

could last a life time.

But I know you will have to leave soon,

to return back to your home.

These tears I used to cry,

would gently fall from my eyes,

stream down my face,

and dry before they would fall.

Now they are like a flood,

pouring from my eyes,

rushing down my face,

and falling to the ground.

Like a waterfall.

Each tear I cry,

is every minute without you.

Sitting here missing you,

and your gentle touch.

My body shivers,

yearning for the warmth of your love.

Crying mixed emotions.

Tears of happiness,

knowing you will return.

And tears of sorrow,

knowing that at this very moment,

you are not here.

So as my raging river of tears,

falls to the ground,

my body awaits the warmth of your love.

Crying these tears,

that touch the ground.
