Painted Memory

Folder:
2001 Poetry

Splotches of blues and greens

cover the canvas.

With orange and reds

painted like the leaves

in the crisp autumn breeze.

Shades of pink

line the sky.

As diverse yellows follow the trail

of the setting sun.

Twinkling stars

are subsequent.

The moon,

shinning its bright

white light.

Time passes,

dawn breaks,

and over the hills,

the sky turns to

a deep velvet purple,

Soon to change to

a radiant blue.

As the sun rises,

and fills the skies

with magnificent hues.

Birds sing their whimsical melodies.

The day starts anew.

And all is told

through a painted memory

starting with you.
