And So You Wait

Folder:
New-ish and New

Sometimes the things you yearn for

are the things you can never have

when it all boils down

they are the things you cannot grasp

On this road that life may take you

Confusion and drama take place.

But in the end

what you work for is what you got

Sometimes, not even that

so you sit.

And you wait.

For your life to work itself out

But you already know what is coming

and nothing can set your soul free.

who you usta be

is now a faded memory

what you fear most

is now what you have become

Alone.

with your thoughts to guide you.

No patience have you now

but the daily routine

and no one else.

What you want more than anything

you know can never come true

So you sit in silence and ponder

while you wait for your destined cue...

Author's Notes/Comments:

After rereading this a year and a half after writing this, I feel very pathetic in reading myself feeling this way. Don't take deeper meaning. This poem means absolutely nothing positive or worthwhile.
