Here we stand together

but really all alone

Still secretly seeking

that someone to call our own

I just want you to know that I realize

you're seeing someone else

And I know that she has that something

I could not find in myself

And while you've been out with her

be aware that I've found someone too

He does the things that no one else can

and he searches my soul through and through

I can't figure out

why we continue to hurt one another like this

Can you even remember

when we had our last kiss?

I know somewhere deep down

both of us really do care

But it's not gonna work

cause we're both getting hurt

Our hearts have been stripped bare



Just as long as we're both happy

and as long as you still have me

I ca'nt let you go that easy

so I guess we'll pretend we don't see...
